Jungim’s passion for creating began with the beloved art & craft of pottery. The environmentally friendly aspect of creating pottery art resonated deeply with Jungim, which organically led to a second and even greater passion for Plant Art. Early ideas focused on creating tiny nature scenes in a jar using moss, soil and other natural materials. But soon the jars were just too small to truly satisfy her vision of bringing nature indoors, where we spend so much of our time these days.
She began working with preserved moss, which looks alive and healthy and requires no maintenance. This opened a new realm of possibilities for the medium. Nature is her biggest inspiration and she wants you to feel the healing power and calming sense of nature through her art. That feeling can come from a small frame on a desk or an enormous moss mural on a wall. Nature’s influence can be felt through every piece she creates, which has been her goal with her art from the beginning.
