Award winning artist, veteran Judge and owner of “Arts Umbrella” arts center, Liana Bennett will be our host speaker for our WAA General Membership meeting. You may remember her from our recent Sip ‘N Stroll Artwalk exhibition where she was the juror!
“What makes an artwork successful”
“What are the elements that make an artwork come together to make a pleasing and enjoyable experience for the viewer and stand out in a juried competition? I hope to cover the time honored principles that every artist needs to produce a quality piece of artwork. As a juror for many shows I would like to unlock a bit of the mystery into what a juror is looking for in a piece to be included in a show, or chosen for an award.” Liana Bennett
Kevin Creekmore, owner of MoltenWorks Glass Studio will give a demonstration after Liana’s talk. Glass Fusing is a process where individual pieces of glass are joined together with heat in a kiln. Plan to stay for this fascinating demo!
In compliance with the King County Health Department Order, you will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative PCR COVID-19 test in the last 72 hours to enter MoltenWorks. Masks are required indoors.
