September Membership Meeting: Tuesday, September 15 at 6:30 PM

Studio Visit with Ellie Hochman
Join us for a special Woodinville Arts Alliance membership gathering at the Hollywood Hill studio of Woodinville sculptor Ellie Hochman.
Ellie began learning the art of stone carving more than a decade ago under the guidance of her 90-year-old father. Since then, she has continued to develop her craft through the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association and has spent the past nine years coordinating a Women’s Handcarving Retreat, encouraging more women to experience this rewarding art form.
We’ll begin at 6:30 PM with refreshments and time to socialize. At 7:00 PM, Ellie will show us around her studio and outdoor work areas, share some of her work and creative process, and introduce us to the tools and techniques she uses to shape stone. We’ll finish with questions and conversation and wrap up by 8:00 PM.
There will also be an opportunity for anyone interested to try their hand at carving. If you’d like to participate, wear clothing that can get a little dusty. Dust masks and safety glasses will be provided.
Space is limited, and the meeting address will be provided to those attending. Please RSVP by emailing membership@
Some of our time may be spent outdoors, weather permitting, so please dress appropriately for the evening.
We hope you’ll join us for a fun, informal evening of art, conversation, and a behind-the-scenes look at a fellow member’s creative space!
